Hands-On Workshops Pre-registration (Optional):
These free sessions are conducted in a computer lab and require pre-registration if you are interested.  In order to accommodate the high demand for these sessions, conference participants are restricted to participating in only one hands-on workshop.  Each workshop is limited to 15 participants. Concurrent sessions are held at the same time as these hands-on workshops. Registration is a first come, first serve basis and are subject to change.

This hands-on session will focus on how to create an entry level podcast and tap into collaboration solutions (wikis and blogs) available today in education. Topics include iTunes U, mobile devices (ex. iPod touch), Garage Band and Mac OS X Server.

In the Universally Designed Learning Experience, an inclusive eLearning environment is created by applying knowledge of Accessibility and Assistive Technology. This presentation will focus on specific techniques that can be employed by instructors and course material developers to broaden the reach of instructional technology.

This session will walk participants through the process of creating, editing and publishing a simple introductory video using free tools already available on every campus.

The Community Colleges in Colorado have developed collaboration project on Colorado EduIsland in SecondLife . All 2 & 4 year colleges interested in SL are invited to visit the newly developed island and view educational resources and opportunities to come on the island. Visit with current members and collabotors of this unique space. Encouraged are those who seek out new educational tools and venues from which to facilitate and educate students and faculty. Please bring yourself and your avatar for a virtual adventure.

A key role served by colleges has been to host life-long learning events for both campus and community. National Poetry Month is one such event. Bring yourself or your avatar and listen to readings, view resources, if you wish, read at an open mic during the session.

Many software programs in course design and course enhancement are very expensive. Join us and discover some tools and/or websites that will not put a strain on your budget because they are free! Demonstrations of the tools will be given and the participants will receive information on where they can obtain each tool.
