Summer 2020 Remote/Online Teaching Professional Development Series

WWU Instructional Design Team

In response to the shift to teaching remotely, our team developed and delivered professional development opportunities in Summer 2020 to approximately 1,000 Western faculty. These opportunities including 18 one-week to three-week intensive workshops and 50 individual sessions. These opportunities introduced strategies, tools, and methods for teaching online, and included opportunities for faculty to develop course materials and receive feedback from the instructional design team, schedule consultations, and to engage with their colleagues across the university.
