Zoom Link https://boisestate.zoom.us/j/4117407404
Meeting ID: 411 740 7404
We are living in an age that without the human ingenuity to innovate we will cease to exist. Human Specialization exemplifies the natural, but inevitable, evolution to innovate specifically for human needs and conditions. This cultural phenomenon is being enacted across business, manufacturing, science, technology and education industries through trends such as standardization, customization, personalization and specialization. This presentation examines some key findings from the entitled book and implications for the future of design and instructional designers. There will be plenty of time for Q and A. This session will be recorded.

#ShutDownSTEM

6/10/2020

This is written with deep sorrow and acknowledgement of the work that needs to be done to abolish racism, religious intolerance, sexism, heteronormativity, ableism, colonialism, and the prejudices and barriers that intersect at all people’s multiple identities. We do this in the aftermath of the systemic racism that caused the murder and burial of George Floyd. Today, Wednesday June 10, has been put forward as #ShutDownSTEM and #ShutDownAcademia. We at eLearning Consortium of Colorado are the T (Technology) in STEM. This day asks us, especially those who are not Black, to look at direct action that we can take.

We’re opening up a statement to our university and college members and we hope you contribute to it, if you wish. This is a working document. We ask that you send it out to others who are involved in teaching and technology. At the bottom of the statement, there are additional areas to share whatever you want. If you wish to read, comment, or contribute please do so today, Thursday, or Friday.

WWe plan to come up with a first draft on June 22 giving enough time to have everyone contribute if they want. We acknowledge that this will always be a work in progress and a one-time statement is not enough.

At our next monthly meeting, Friday June 26, we will be joined by Shea Swauger, Auraria Campus Library, one of our eLCC conference keynotes, for a further discussion on the Prison to School Ed Tech Pipeline and current events and petitions regarding educational technology and our students.

2020 Virtual eLCC Conference

9/20/2019

Greetings!

We are changed the conference format this year to a FREE virtual conference, April 15 - 17, 2020! We had some major changes this year that made it advantageous to move the conference style to virtual for this year while we complete our application with the IRS to achieve 501(3)c (Non-profit) status. Our goal is to be back in Breckenridge with our traditional face-to-face conference in 2021. So please consider joining us for our free virtual conference. We have so much share and collaborate with you and would love to see you virtually!

This year eLCC is a free online conference for all presenters and participants. Take a look at the tracks and especially the possible session formats and submit a proposal!
